Assuming you have a Volvo D12 or Volvo D13 engine, these are the steps how to check for fault codes through your instrument clusters menus:

This will all be done using the stalk on the right hand side of your steering wheel

Press the ESC button to access the main menu

Press the UP/DOWN button on the end of the stalk until you find the “Diagnostics” menu and press the ↳ button

Scroll using the UP/DOWN button until you find the Module you would like to access and press the ↳ button

It will display the codes if any, you can press the ESC button to return to the previous screen to access a different Module
