How often do you have to Regen a Freightliner?

Generally if you're a long haul truck driver, roughly about every 4-7 days is a sign of a healthy exhaust aftertreatment system. Local truck drivers should generally need a regen about every 7 days or more possibly. Again this also depends on how often your truck or if it does at all do highway regens.

How long does a parked regen take Freightliner?

Assuming you’re referring to a Freightliner Cascadia, but in any case a general rule across all makes and models of semi trucks, it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour for a parked regeneration to complete as long as there are no issues inhibiting it.

How to do a regen on 2018-2023+ Freightliner Cascadia?

Coolant temperature at or above 150°F Parking brake set Transmission in neutral Cruise control off The following steps are all completed using the buttons on the steering wheel Press the ↵ button, scroll through the top menu icons until you find the semi truck / trailer symbol Press the OK button, then scroll through the 4 screen until you find the screen that shows the soot level / parked regeneration prompt Again press the OK button and if a parked regen is required it will you prompt you to press the OK button once again and the RPMs will rise and the process will begin Once the parked regen is completed, the RPMs will come down and and the “REGEN IN PROGRESS” message will disappear, there will be a high exhaust temperature symbol left on the dash, leave the truck running for about 5 minutes to allow the exhaust system to cool off properly

How to reset or clear faults codes on a Freightliner Cascadia?

The truck is not moving Transmission is in neutral Parking brake is set The following steps are all completed using the buttons on the steering wheel Press the ↵ button, scroll through the top menu icons until you find the wrench symbol Press the OK button and scroll through the 3 screens (it’s usually the 2nd screen option) until you find the modules listed such as: ABS, ACM, CGW etc. Press the OK button and scroll through the modules until you find the system that has a hazard triangle icon to the right of the module name Again press the OK button and it will now display the fault codes related to that system, you can scroll through the list of codes, once you reach the bottom of the list it will prompt you on how to to clear the fault codes for that system If there are fault codes in multiple systems / modules, you will need to press the ↵ button and begin scrolling through the modules list until another module with a hazard triangle next to it appears Repeat steps 7-8 as necessary
